Working with LGBTQ Trafficking Survivors

End Slavery Cincinnati (ESC) and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center partner and present four quarterly End Slavery Cincinnati coalition meetings. These coalition meetings are free and open to the public, and each informational session focuses on a different topic of human trafficking. At this coalition meeting, ESC will discuss the challenges LGBTQ survivors face and ways to overcome these challenges.

2016 National Anthem Sing-A-Long

The Star-Spangled Banner will be sung by school children nationwide on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:00am PST and 1:00pm EST. Students will learn about the words and meaning of the flag and sing the first stanza. This will be the third annual simultaneous sing-a-long event created by the APEF-9/12 Generation Project. The project aims to bring students together – as the world came together – on September 12, 2001.

The Public Library’s "Listen to This" music series takes some time to laugh.  Just before his big break on the television show, Sanford and Son, comedian Redd Foxx recorded four standup comedy albums for King Records in 1970 and 1971. Hear some of these recordings and learn how the legendary Redd Foxx ended up recording for King Records.
