Beginning Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 27th 2015, a portion of Second Street at Walnut will be closed for streetcar track construction. Specifically, the intersection of Second and Walnut Streets will be closed to east bound traffic causing a detour around the closure. This will also impact northbound traffic on Walnut Street from Freedom Way.
Eastbound Second Street will be completely closed, between Rose Parks-Vine Street and Walnut Streets. The majority of the construction will take place at the intersection of Walnut Street and Second Street. As a result, school/tour bus groups that are usually dropped off on the Second Street side of the building will need to be dropped off in-front of our building on Freedom Way.
Groups arriving from the west:
Take Second Street to Elm Street, right (south) onto Elm Street to Mehring Way, left (east) onto Mehring Way to Joe Nuxhall Way, left (north) onto Joe Nuxhall Way to Freedom Way, and left (west) onto Freedom Way to the Freedom Center front doors.
East bound groups:
Coming from Mehring Way, continue westbound to Joe Nuxhall Way, turn right (north) onto Joe Nuxhall Way to Freedom Way, turn left (west) onto Freedom Way to the front doors of Freedom Center for drop off and pick-up.
School/tour buses will not be able to be staged around the building and will need to use Central Avenue on the west side of Paul Brown Stadium.
