The Struggle Continues

The struggle for freedom didn't end in 1865. The struggle for equality didn't end in 1965. The struggle continues around the world and in our own backyards. We at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, along with the rest of the nation, will be watching and listening as the events in Baltimore continue to unfold and the Supreme Court hears arguments in Obergefell v. Hodges (today's testimonies includes four challenges to same sex marriage bans, including Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee). We value diversity and inclusion and believe in equality for everyone and hope that the future brings resolution and understanding for those who are struggling today.
