Children on the Underground Railroad

  EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE.  PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES OR CONTACT bvernon@nurfc.org FOR MORE INFORMATION.   Join us for a family friendly event exclusively presented for Members of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Learn about the lives of children in slavery and their role on the Underground Railroad. The program will focus on the education of enslaved children hoping to one day be free and the importance and ultimate dangers of their learning to read and write.   This program will use interactive storytelling, arts, crafts and first person interpretation to create a meaningful experience for families with young children in grades 3-6.   RSVP to bvernon@nurfc.org by November 10th.
