Smita Singh visted the Freedom Center this week to tour Invisible: Slavery Today with our Director of National Strategic Initiatives, Luke Blocher. During her visit, she shared with us the great work that she's doing with her international organization, Mahima Care Home in Kolkata, India. Smita is a clinical therapist who uses her skill, love and expertise to develop a network of aftercare homes and transition centers in major hubs for trafficking women and children. She, and many dedicated others, work endlessly to provide these services in the midst of dehumanizing poverty and slavery. "When they arrive, they don't feel that they're precious or valuable. We help them to know that they have worth. The home affirms them." -Smita Singh
