January 18, 2016
Breakfast: 8 a.m.
Program: 9 a.m. in the Harriet Tubman Theater
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the MLK Coalition will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a breakfast and program highlighting community youth contributions on January 18 beginning at 8 a.m. in the Grand Hall.
The program immediately following the breakfast in the Harriet Tubman Theater will honor the 2015 graduating class of Freedom Center Youth Docents—a program created in partnership with the Cincinnati Chapter of The Links and designed to expose local high school students to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center’s mission and focus on education. The Links, Incorporated Freedom Center Youth Docent Program, which requires a one year commitment from the students, combines themes of courage, cooperation, perseverance and freedom to aid in developing leadership, presentation, communication and critical thinking skills.
Tickets for the breakfast are $35. Contact Paula Johnson at (513) 333-7507 and firstname.lastname@example.org for ticket information.
