Visiting the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in 2009 will continue to be a great bargain, especially in these tough economic times.
The Freedom Center announced today that its highly successful “Value Visit” admission prices — that are as much as 25% lower for adults, seniors, students, teachers and families — will be extended for the remainder of 2009.
The lower prices went into effect on February 3rd and were scheduled to end on March 31, but Freedom Center CEO Donald Murphy said the response has been so strongly positive that the program will be continued. Overall Freedom Center attendance has held steady with 2008 levels despite the economic downturn. Saturday attendance has been especially robust.
“Our current exhibit, Grass Roots, has been very popular, in part because the general public is curious about the history of basketry and in part because the price of admission is very attractive,” Murphy said. “By continuing value visits, we think we can generate not only repeat visits but also new visits from households that have not yet experienced our inspiring exhibits and unique gift shop.”
The Value Visit pricing schedule is as follows:

I think very interesting and will follow up on reading the site at a later date. This should be at more hotels.
