Also, My grandfather Almon Sikes b. 7/1928 and d. 1/2003. His name was always signed on the census as JD Sikes. He was 6th child out of 9. oldest to youngest was Henry sikes, bessie mae sikes, richard sikes, (twins) jimmie L. sikes & willie L. sikes, Almon “aka” JD sikes, robert sikes, essie mae sikes and viola sikes.

Hello,
Im coordinating a family reunion soon. Need info. on great great grandfather. Grandfather name is Almon Sikes born 7/1928 vero beach,florida married Rosa Herd in 1947. His name was misspelled several times. 1920 census has albert sikes..wife is Ellen washington-sikes. 1930 cnesus has Alma Sikes and Ellen Sikes. Death certificate in 1944 has Almon Sikes. I would like to know the name and birthplace of his father..my great great grandfather, what indian tribe was he from, where and when he was born? Only info I have is Ezekial Sikes as his father and wife name was Leona. Had 8 daughters (older) and one son..my great great grandfather. Thanks for your input!
