I have to agree. Slavery never ended, It seems to just be growing. There are so many forms of slavery, trafficing and sex trafficing/ prostitution. Trying to stop it seems to be impossible, we need the government to look at the big picture. Its so important to keep the children safe and also keep them alarmed. I think that some children need to know what is going on so that they can be protected. They need to take some of the action them selfs, know whats right and wrong. In a great book by Mark Twain, Huck Finn, the main character learns that slavery and treating people differently isnt wrong and harmfull. You cant use people and abuse them, it's unconsitutional. In the 1970's a new law took place stating that children were not to be hit, beaten, or abused in anyway. So were would trafficing and prostitution be aloud. But I would be really intrested in to see more about the DCAF.

Is bonded labor considered a form of human trafficking? When I think of the amount of people estimated to be 'trafficked' each year does that include those born into bonded labor? I'm interested in this study but I think most people only focus on sex trafficking instead of the big picture.

I agree, the trafficking won't decrease as long as there continues to be a demand and profit. It seems to be like a global business--granted an illegal buisness. Also, the DCAF is a bit behind the times to conclude that contemporary slavery will continue around the world. It is already very present throughout the world, and sadly, too often is a recognized part of a culture. Take Haiti for example, contemporary was widely practiced and accepted. I think the first step is to show people and cultures a different way of life. In order to decrease the demand and profit, we need to start changing the outlook and acceptability of contemporary slavery in the hearts and minds of those who practice it.
