Faith to Freedom Daily: Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ralph Waldo Emerson was a stationmaster on the Underground Railroad in Concord, MA. Emerson began his professional career as a Unitarian minister; however, he left the ministry to pursue a career in writing and public speaking. Emerson became known as a pre-eminent American philosopher and a beloved nineteenth-century figure.
