Faith to Freedom Daily: Orchard Street Church, Baltimore
Orchard Street A.M.E. Church was built in the 1840s by free and enslaved African Americans in Baltimore. According to local oral tradition, the church served as a station on the Underground Railroad network in the region. Located at 512 Orchard Street, the church building still stands and is headquarters of the Baltimore Urban League and home to an African American museum.
