The exhibition, by renowned artist Larry Collins, showcases the mixed-media portraits of 35 Civil Rights individuals that died in the struggle for freedom. Each portrait provides a visual reference that memorialization the individual and includes text that explains the circumstances around their participation in the Civil Movement Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Emmett Till and Medgar Evans are among the well-known leaders depicted in the portraits. Lesser known persons include Lamar Smith who was killed for organizing African American voter registration campaigns and Paul Guihard who died during the Ole Miss riot. #All4theCause
